Do you have a passion for dreadlocks and have you ever wished you could turn this passion into your job? Well, this course is just for you!
After years of making, creating and maintaining dreadlocks, I am here to share and teach my skills in this intensive, three day course. This course will be the foundations to growing your own dreadlock business!
This course provides all of your training for completing a full head of dreads, dreadlock extensions AND maintenance to get you started on your new journey as a loctician.
Overview of the course:
A three day, one - to - one training course with me, Beth and the course will be held in Derby, England
(This is not an online course)

*All tools and equipment will be provided plus a booklet to refer back to once the course is complete.*
This is what you will learn:
Day 1
Creating Real Dreadlocks
- creating your studio/ home studio space
- Starting off when a client gets in touch
- How to quote your client and decide your pricing.
- How to make them comfortable ( and you!) in your work space ( it can be a long day)
- Sectioning on mannequin head- learning how to do correct section sizes depending on hair thickness.
- Making your first dreadlock
- Practicing more dreadlocks until confident
- Aftercare and how to share this with your client.
Practise more in the afternoon/ evening and I will look over them on day two.
Day 2
Making and Installing Human Hair Dreadlock Extensions
- Assessing clients hair colour for the extensions and how to choose the right shade
- Advice on extensions and where to buy good quality hair.
- Learn to create human hair extensions
- Install human hair extensions
- Social media advice
Practise more in the afternoon/ evening and I will look over them on day three.
Day 3
Maintenance
- How to tidy and tighten dreadlocks - Roots, regrowth, loops and bumps
- How to fix broken dreads/ weak spots
- How to fix thinning dreads
- How to join thinning dreads together
- How to keep scalp and dreadlocks healthy
- Detoxing dreadlocks
- Brushing out whispy ends do they have broken off/ shrunk
- Removing dreadlocks
-Maintaining a real clients dreadlocks with me
Certificates will be provided when the course is complete.
